One more guilty pleasure

Another fan favorite is The Golden Voyage of Sinbad. Its a 1974 thick stew of intrigue and adventure with meaty chunks of monsters and slave girls, with a dash of black magic for flavor.
John Phillip Law plays Sinbad who is sailing here and there where he runs afoul of an evil wizard named Koura, played by the fourth incarnation of Doctor Who, Tom Baker.

He and his crew accompanied by the Vizier and a tatooed slave girl, sail across the seas to solve the riddle of an interlocking golden map. Ray Harryhausen of Jason and the Argonauts fame, among others, creates an animated ship's figurehead, a grotesque cyclops centaur, a multiple-armed and sworded statue, and a couple of small bat-like creatures .
It also has The Oracle of all knowledge who says stuff like this..." No race is lost until in fact it's won, and close behind you comes the black and evil son spawned by the devil, suckled upon black milk of human form... Clad in robes of silk... Destiny... Destiny... Destiny is invisible and yet visible, and men may try to hide yet it's waters mark it clearly like a rainbow in the sky." The Oracle is played by our favorite Captain, Quint, the latern jawed Robert Shaw.

It was also shot in Dynarama, which I guess was a big deal for 1974. But the dancing girl stole the show with her eye tattoo, and plunging necklines.

She was Bond Girl, I think in Spy who Loved Me, and had a decorative part ten years prior in Casino Royale. According to IMDB she was the reporter in Adam Ant's "Goody TwoShoes Video".

Anyway, IMDB has the original trailer so enjoy.

I always wanted to be part of a crew of sailing men, like Sinbad's band , or Elric, Sailor on the Sea of Fates, or the likes of the Argonauts, even the crew of the Pequod. Nobody ever writes those modules anyhow, but it would be nice if they did. Like Seven Voyages you know. Hmmmm?
