Finally caught Stardust in a crowded theatre of four, including myself. It has some star power, but it seemed to me, with no offense to the film makers, to be a good movie. A movie made for television. Maybe the Monday Night Movie.
Dont get me wrong, for it does indeed have its moments, but some are strained, like a movie trying to hard, and so many "tells" could have been nice surprizes for us veiwers if packaged better, like the leads' "cute meet ". It is worth a rent, and maybe keep it for an extra day two.
The FX are decent, but the witches are far too scary for my little pips. Oh, and cinematography abounds, but is it real, or just digitally conjured?
I am not big on spoilers 'cause I love surprizes, but it has some swordplay, witches and dark magic, sky pirates, and some decent humor, and oh, the romance. Bring tissues you Nancy.
